    Fostering the future of Carbon Projects in Fairness and Equity

    Saly, Senegal

    2 to 9 of September, 2022

     

    This event, organised by the Carbon Markets Fairness Foundation together with ALLCOT and the support of EcoRegistry, Cercarbono, Senken and Flowcarbon, aims to discuss the importance of equity and integrity in the carbon markets, putting a special emphasis on how these values are essential to the projects related to mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions in West Africa.

     

    The event will not only share the value proposition of the development of carbon markets in the region, but also will implement strategic initiatives taking the leadership to be spread worldwide.

    This event gave room to the analysis and evaluation of progress and development related to carbon markets both in Colombia and internationally.

     

    It gathered all relevant stakeholders and allies to explore new business opportunities in the short, medium and long term.
     

    Fair Carbon Markets Foundation was present at the event and hosted the side event Equity in Carbon Markets to Achieve Climate Action (August 25th)

  • Carbon Market Opportunities in Brazil

    São Paulo, Brazil

    The workshop aimed to address the impact of Article 6 in Brazil's NDC and to assess what benefits can be generated for the municipality of São Paulo.

     

    It was an excellent opportunity to discuss the potential of developing carbon projects to mobilise financial resources to mitigate climate change and reduce carbon emissions.

     

    This meeting was the result of meetings held with the team of the Executive Secretariat for Climate Change SECLIMA, headed by Secretary Dr. Fernando Pinheiro Pedro, and Patricio Lombardi, Carbon Markets Fairness Foundation Secretary General. It was delivered by ALLCOT in conjunction with IETA.
