In November 2022, the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt hosted the 27th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP 27), with a view to building on previous successes and paving the way for future ambition to effectively tackle the global challenge of climate change.

IETA Business Hub (Blue Zone)
November 12th, 2022 | Adaptation DayThis event co-organized between Environmental Markets Fairness Foundation and ALLCOT, led to a reflection on the reality of the regions most vulnerable to the effects of climate change from the perspective of the Global South with the main goal of fostering transparency and integrity in carbon markets.
This session alongside federal and subnational governments, NGOs and the private sector, managed to put biodiversity, forests and communities that inhabit them, at the centre of the scene, to trigger a meaningful dialogue to promote a new path of transparency and fairness in the future of the carbon market.
Fostering the Future of Carbon Projects in Fairness and Equity
Saly, Senegal
September 2nd to 9th , 2022Organised by the Environmental Markets Fairness Foundation together with ALLCOT and the support of EcoRegistry, Cercarbono, Senken and Flowcarbon, this workshop aimed to discuss the importance of equity and integrity in the carbon markets, putting a special emphasis on how these values are essential to the projects related to mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions in West Africa.
The event not only shared the value proposition of the development of carbon markets in the region, but also implemented strategic initiatives taking the leadership to be spread worldwide.
4ta Cumbre del Clima
Medellín, Colombia
August 24th to 26th , 2022
This event gave room to the analysis and evaluation of progress and development related to carbon markets both in Colombia and internationally.
It gathered all relevant stakeholders and allies to explore new business opportunities in the short, medium and long term.
Environmental Markets Fairness Foundation was present at the event and hosted the side event Equity in Carbon Markets to Achieve Climate Action (August 25th)
Carbon Market Opportunities in Brazil
São Paulo, Brazil

The workshop aimed to address the impact of Article 6 in Brazil's NDC and to assess what benefits can be generated for the municipality of São Paulo.
It was an excellent opportunity to discuss the potential of developing carbon projects to mobilise financial resources to mitigate climate change and reduce carbon emissions.
This meeting was the result of meetings held with the team of the Executive Secretariat for Climate Change SECLIMA, headed by Secretary Dr. Fernando Pinheiro Pedro, and Patricio Lombardi, Environmental Markets Fairness Foundation Secretary General. It was delivered by ALLCOT in conjunction with IETA.
COP 26 in Glasgow

The official launching of the Fair Environmental Markets Initiative took place at COP26, held at the SEC Centre in Glasgow, Scotland.
The COP26 summit brought parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Cumbre del Clima Latinoamérica y El Caribe
Cartagena, Colombia
October 6th to 8th , 2021
The Fair Carbon Markets Declaration was signed, along with Latin American and West African countries, in the framework for the Latin America and The Caribbean Summit in Cartagena.
Colombia hosted national and international experts from the private and public sector to discuss how to achieve zero emissions through market mechanisms.
